Trauma-Informed Adlerian Counselling for Healing and Growth

My name is Bridget Whitehead, and I am a British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)-registered Adlerian Counsellor and Psychotherapist, and member of ASIIP (Adlerian Society UK). In addition to my core training, I practise as a trauma-informed therapist, and have enriched experience in supporting people through three decades of yoga therapy, which supports how I encourage individuals to connect mind and body on the path to healing. I bring a compassionate, non-judgemental and holistic approach to my practice, connecting empathetically with my clients.

Insight + Action = Change

How Counselling Can Help

Welcome to your journey of healing and growth. Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from the life you want to live? Perhaps you’ve been carrying the weight of past trauma, struggling with anxiety or depression, or feeling uncertain about your relationships, sense of purpose, or self-worth.

You don’t have to navigate these challenges alone. I offer Counselling and Psychotherapy in Pembrokeshire and Online, providing a safe, non-judgemental and empowering space to explore what’s going on for you.

My Approach

Adlerian & Trauma-Informed

As an Adlerian therapist, I believe that every individual has the capacity for growth, change, and connection. By taking a trauma-informed approach, I aim to gently uncover patterns and beliefs from the past that may be limiting your potential today.

Together, we’ll work to understand your story and discover new perspectives and strategies to help you move forward. I work collaboratively, believing that: Insight + Action = Change

Walk & Talk Therapy at Llys y Fran Reservoir

I am delighted to offer Walk & Talk Therapy sessions at the beautiful surroundings of Llys y Fran Reservoir.

Walking side by side in nature can provide a calm, relaxed alternative to traditional face-to-face counselling. Many people find that being outdoors and moving at a comfortable pace helps them feel more at ease, making it easier to explore thoughts, feelings, and challenges.

Walk & Talk Therapy offers the same confidential, professional support as sessions held indoors, while also allowing you to benefit from the restorative effects of spending time in nature. Sessions are tailored to your pace and comfort, with opportunities to pause or sit whenever needed.

If you're interested in finding out whether Walk & Talk Therapy at Llys y Fran Reservoir could be right for you, please get in touch to discuss how this approach might support your wellbeing.
